RESEARCH NOTEBOOKS

Here are examples of student research notebooks. They experimented with different designs and researched artists.

Media experiments were also recorded in notebooks

REDUCTION PRINTS USING LATEX BLOCKS

Experimentation is key in this unit.  The composition to the right, was made by cutting out different colored paper rectangles and printing with different colors.

Many more prints were made than were used in the final composition.  Choosing from twenty or more small prints, and arranging them together in different combinations was the method used to find compositional balance.
